Got-damn. I haven’t lost a friend in years. I’d started to forget just how much it hurts; how the pain gnaws at your very soul.
How you start to forget the pain only to have it slap you dead-smack-dab in the face over the slightest thing.
I may not have met Rob, but I’ve been reading him for years. He and I had exchanged e-mails back and forth over countless subjects; discussed our pasts, presents, and futures. He was the older brother I never had.
He’s someone that never sugarcoated anything, and got himself in deep kimchee on more than one occasion for it. But if you ever needed a straight answer on something, I couldn’t suggest a better person to provide it.
You’ll be missed, Rob. You’ll be missed.
And if you’ll all excuse me, I’m off to the range. To shoot a bunch of guns I don’t own.
