Quote of the Day

- Filed under: — Posted by: RW @ 6:46 am

I have never known a world that didn’t have Jack Murtha and Ted Kennedy in political office (not to mention Robert KKK Byrd and a few other dinosaurs still roaming the district). I want to know such a world. I really want to know such a world.

- Bryan Preston

Of course, term limits would bring us that world.

Term limits and transparency in earmarks, and the line-item veto would help. Here in CA the guys who are getting termed-out are playing musical-chairs; the Atty.General dipstick is running for Treasurer, the former Insurance Commissioner is running for Lt. Governor while the former Lt. Gov is running for Insurance Comissioner…aaagh! And I live in a blue-blue district that’s been gerrymandered to last a hundred years.
